Welcome to Cochain Books. By accessing our website and purchasing our publishing packages (Little Spark, Magic Maker, or Dream Weaver), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. The Cochain Creative Process

  • Bespoke Avatars: For our premium tiers, Cochain Books provides hand-drawn character likenesses ("Bespoke Avatars"). These are artistic interpretations and not photographic replicas. While we strive for high accuracy, final artistic style is at the discretion of the Lead Illustrator.

  • Revision Policy: Each package includes a set number of revision rounds. Significant changes to the story or character design requested after the approval of initial drafts may incur additional fees.

2. Intellectual Property & Ownership

  • Your Rights: Cochain Books operates on a "True Authorship" model. Upon final payment and delivery, the Client retains 100% of the copyright and 100% of all future royalties generated by the book.

  • Our Usage: Cochain Books reserves the right to use images of the finished book and character avatars for promotional and portfolio purposes (e.g., website gallery, social media) unless the Client explicitly requests privacy in writing.

3. Production & Delivery Timelines

  • Standard Timelines: Our standard production timeline is 3–10 weeks, depending on the tier selected.

  • Delays: Timelines are estimates and may be affected by the speed of Client feedback or third-party printing schedules. Cochain Books is not liable for delays caused by external distributors (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark).

4. Payments & Refunds

  • Payment Structure: Full payment is required to begin the project.

  • Refund Policy: Due to the custom, labor-intensive nature of our work, refunds are not available once the "Story Alchemist" (Editor) or "Character Architect" (Illustrator) has begun work on the project.

5. Distribution & Earnings

  • No Guarantee of Sales: While we provide professional Amazon Category SEO and global distribution setup, Cochain Books does not guarantee specific sales volumes or financial earnings.

  • Global Distribution: Distribution is handled via third-party platforms (Amazon and IngramSpark). Clients must adhere to the terms and conditions of these platforms for ongoing account management.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Child Safety: Photos provided for avatar creation are used strictly for the purpose of illustration. We do not sell or share your personal data or your child's images with third parties outside of the necessary production team.

7. Limitation of Liability

Cochain Books (an entity of Cochain LLC) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services or the publication of the book.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
